Geauga County is a small town with big city amenities due to our proximity to three nearby metropolitan cities; Cleveland, Akron and Youngstown.
Geauga's largest employers include: Kinetico, Masco/Kraftmaid, Great Lakes Cheese Co., Fairmount Minerals, Duramax Marine, Johnsonite, Gold Key Processing, RW Sidley, Stock Equipment, Pentair, RheinChemie, and St. Gobain.
Geauga County is also home to Geauga/UHHS Hospital, Kent State University-Geauga, DDC Clinic and the American Society of Metals.
Geauga County, approximately 30 miles east of Cleveland, has a land mass of 404 square miles and is 500 feet above Lake Erie which is 10 miles north of Geauga County.
Three great rivers originate in Geauga they are, the Cuyahoga, Grand and Chagrin Rivers.
